Crema di Carciofi e Limone

In kitchens throughout northern and central Italy, simple ingredients are transformed into unforgettable flavors. Our Crema di Carciofi e Limone begins with tender artichoke hearts, prized for their delicate, earthy sweetness. We blend them with fresh lemon, Parmesan cheese, extra virgin olive oil, garlic, and carefully selected herbs until the texture becomes smooth, rich, and wonderfully spreadable.

The lemon doesn't overpower the artichokes—it simply wakes them up. The result is a cream that is fresh, balanced, and surprisingly versatile. Spread it on warm toasted bread, spoon it onto grilled chicken or fish, toss a dollop into hot pasta, or pair it with cured meats and cheeses as part of a traditional antipasto platter. It also makes an exceptional sandwich spread, adding a bright Mediterranean character to roasted turkey, grilled vegetables, or Italian-style panini.

Special Food Safety Note: This spread is prepared and canned the day before the farmers market and and refrigerated. It does not require immediate refrigeration upon purchase but should be refrigerated within a few hours.  When you get it home we strongly recommend that the unopened jar be kept in your refrigerator and treat it as you would milk.  After you open the jar, even with refrigeration, it should be used within one or two days.
